«Youth needs a future»

Junge Frau in Kisumu Kenia
In addition to many cultural, social and economic differences, the age structure of society is an essential feature that distinguishes the global North from the global South.

While people in the global North are increasingly concerned about old-age provision because of the ageing of society, millions of young people in the global South are faced with the anxious question of whether they will ever have a job and thus a livelihood. Many people in the North are still young and mobile at the age of seventy, but in the South, they make up a tiny minority of old people.

And what is the living situation of the young people in our countries of assignment?
